Mckayla Humor...

Mckayla and I were downstairs the other day. I was on the computer, the news was on in the background, she was reading a book. I vaguely hear a story about the H1N1 vacinne and how it is (or isn't, not sure, wasn't really paying attention) for children 4 and under. I hear Mckayla quietly say to herself "Whew! 4 and under" LOL! Love that girl, she was never so happy to be 5. :)

We had been talking about getting his haircut so this wasn't a surprise to me, but Jer took him to do it. When I picked them up and saw my boy it honestly took my brain a good 10-15 seconds to realize that this was in fact my son. I just totally did not recognize him. My first reaction was not good. I missed (and still do sometimes) his long beautiful blonde surfer locks and just didn't feel like it looked like him. I had a really difficult couple hours just not happy with it. Wierd I know, it's just a haircut, it grows back, but it was just such a drastic difference. I like it now though and I think he looks handsome and a lot older.
