Camping fun

We started the camping season out going up American Fork Canyon in hopes of camping just above Tibblefork where we had years ago, but unfortnaatety the gates were closed for about 5 more days. So we settled for the campground lowest in the canyon. We paid $16/night which seems like a lot for camping, and this campground while nicely paved, was very narrow and didn't have any running water or flushing toilets. So the price was irritating, but we had a great time nonetheless. We had huge boulders right next to our tent the kids loved playing on. And we of course bring the hammock. I love these kids!
We played at the lake one day and the kids got super coated in mud not realizing I did not have a warm bath to throw them in to get clean. They weren't thrilled about the cold river water we used. This pic doesn't even do it justice, I've got to find the other one. It was literally covering all of their arms and legs.
Talm and Kayla both love to fish with Dad, I love these shots.
Jer went on a run that day, got lost on the trail, and was 2 hours late getting back on what was supposed to be a 2 hour run. I was about 5 minutes from calling in search and rescue when he finally staggered in hungry and tired. Glad he was ok though!
The next night and morning were spent hanging out in the tent while it rained and rained and rained. It certainly was a fun chance to watch and listen to the kids creativity.
