8 years since my teenage yet mature self married a fresh, ambitious, return missionary scriptorian. A guy that I believed would give me the spiritual life and future family I was hoping for, one that I wish I'd grown up with. He has, and he's still the spiritual leader in our family, and I love to be fascinated by his still amazing ability to pull out scriptures or general authority quotes on the spot. While not as outspoken as he was then, it's not by much :) If you know my Jer you know he can come off rash sometimes, but I don't think he means to. He's a good guy who's passionate about what he's working towards, whatever it is. He loves the kids and I and is such a good dad. I'm glad you're mine honey.
Thanks to Jer's dad Wade and wife Audrey for watching the kids, we had the chance to escape to Alta up the canyon yesterday. I ran a 5 mile downhill road race, and Jer went for a trail run, worked great for each of us. I took 3rd woman overall and managed to win us an overnight stay at the lodge there with dinner and breakfast included AND $50! Isn't that great?! Now THAT is a useful prize we can enjoy sometime in the next year. After the race we enjoyed a very yummy dinner and dessert the race provided while sitting outside listening to nice live music. After dinner we got to enjoy the outdoor hot tubs and just enjoy the pretty mountain views around. Such a great afternoon and evening just being together. I love you babe!

Happy 8 years! Can't believe it's already been that long. What a great little get away and what a great prize!
