My big boy Talm

Sorry it's late, but had to do a birthday post for Talmage boy!  He's our handsome man who we love so so much. He plays so well with his sisters, but still loves to be with 'his boys' which are any boy that he can find to play with.  He's doing great in Preschool and is excited to start Kindergarten this year  - crazy, I know!

We started his celebrations opening a package from Aunt Stephie.  I had to teach a class that morning so when we got home and got the mail but didn't see any package I was worried it didn't come.  Then we came inside and Talm spotted it on the couch (Uncle Dustin who lives with us must have brought it in) and he knew it was for him before we said anything.  We tried to talk him into waiting for his sister to get home, but to no avail.  He was so excited to have something to open then and loves the puzzles she sent.  Thanks Sis!!

Letting little sister in on the action.  She kept asking where her presents were
Thanks Stephie!!
Next came a friend birthday party at our house.  I hate to say it, but I think this was his first party or even organized playdate despite the fact I started Mckayla's parties at 3 I think.   Oops.  Oh well, his party was great!  Very chill and easy and best of all?  The kids all loved it!  Mckayla's party this year was odd, half the girls were apparently expecting something cooler and let us know a few times "is this it?" or "I'm bored".  But not Talm's party, we just got out the Thomas tracks, puzzles from Aunt Stephie, and some barbie stuff for the girls that didn't play trains and those kids played all day.  I almost wish I'd done the 2 hours I usually do instead of the 90 minute party I did after the parent trauma experienced at Mckayla's party  :)  We decorated cupcakes and opened presents and played some more, and everyone was happy!  Yay!!  Thanks to all the great friends that came over to play, Talm felt very special! Special thanks to our friend Ginny for coming.  She's been in love with Talm for several years now and has planned on him being her husband and/or prince for quite a while, that is until he said  he liked another girl at preschool on Wednesday.  Ahh!  I felt so bad, and so much worse hearing she was kind of sad that day.  Sorry Ginny, we love you, Talm has lots of love to go around, so don't give up  ;)
For you Sis.  I'm no fancy decorator like you, but hey my table was clean and I tried right?  :)  Thanks to Mckayla for her help with the chairs and stuffing party bags.  She's a girl after her Aunt Stephie's heart
Talmy's friends clockwise: Issi, Lexi, Adrienne, Cason, Braiden, Kyle, Ginny, Kiarra
Cute little guy had to try 3 times to get those candles out.  Notice his fists required for enough force  :

Later that night we had family over for dinner and dessert.  All 3 kids had a great time showing off, and Talm was spoiled even more with even more presents.  Thank you!!  It was really great to have all the grandparents and his uncles there for him, we really appreciate and love all the support our kids receive.

We even had Grandma Great there!
Talmy our sweet sweet boy, Happy 5th Birthday!
We love you so much and look forward to many more birthday's with you!!!!!

Hey Leslie, I've been meaning to apologize for Eva's behavior at McKayla's party!!! She has had trouble at two different parties now. It is like she is expecting the kind of one-on-one time she gets on a playdate. I feel so bad she made things hard at McKayla's party!!!

We love you all you guys! Thanks for staying friend with us despite it all!
