Fun stuff update

Sometimes I hate coming up with subject titles for posts when I'm just catching up and throwing a lot of photos up, which is what this will be  :)  So lets get started!  Forgive me for the bad photo quality in a lot of these, I still just use my camera phone most of the time.  It's always with me and is better than nothing.

I went down to St George for almost a week to train with my great friend Sarah just like we did last year.  It was  bit adventuresome, but great, you can read more about it on my tri blog under Feb 20 and Feb 28th of this year, March of last year.  Jer was a great trooper and handled the kids great, I believe he has a post of his own to finish.  Getting home quite late at night, this is what I found.
My sweet babies asleep waiting up for me with their Welcome Home Mom sign they made
And will you check this out??  I was so surprised!  Crete paper strung all over the living room, the piano bench set up with a little wooden name thing I've had since I was a kid that they play with, a cute little vase of simple sweet flowers, and the balloons all over with little messages Mckayla wrote on them like "you rock mom!" and "we love you!" and "you're the best".  AWWWWW!!
Such sweeties.  Later that week I think it was, I took them to the Safe Kids Fair, yes, by myself.  I've done this for a while, little adventures with the kids, and they're good. They're getting old enough that it's getting strangely doable.  Not bringing a diaper bag or a big stroller, it's pretty cool, but pretty weird sometimes.
So first up we had to ride bikes on the safety course.  Like their hair covers for their helmets?  :)  Talm must have gone through that thing 3 or 4 times by the time Kayla went through once, he's a little maniac on the bike.  Keeps asking up to take his training wheels off, I hope it will work!  Anyway, it was cute because the boy scouts taught them about street signs and laws.  Talm also enjoyed sitting in a helicopter.
Mckayla, who yes went in a costume, don't ask me why, happen to meet up with a princess, and Talm with a pirate, he loves pirates!  They learned about fire safety and played in a fire engine and school bus, and a really cool school bus converted into a play gym.  Played on the sheriff vehicles and waited 15 minutes with Talm on my shoulders (he is NO featherweight!) to see Ironman up on stage.  Kaity bug, the cute little thing, loves legos and found a nice little table of them to play with.
We went skating at the Olympic Oval near our house.  I run there a lot on the big 440 meter indoor track, and we've been skating once a year or two ago, but not since, and the kids kept asking.
Talmy and Kaity were pretty nervous still but did ok.  Mckayla wouldn't go without the stand thingy, but did a lot better than she has in the past.  Mom and Dad were just glad they're getting a little taller so our backs weren't as sore from holding hands and supporting all their weight  :)
I took the kids downtown last Saturday to a St Patricks Day parade I never even knew existed.  We were about 30 minutes late and I worried it'd be all done, but it must be a good 2 hour or so parade, apparently the second biggest in the state.  Fun to see people all dressed up, and lots of dogs, a lot of a big strange breed, Irish Wolfhounds too.
The kids liked the floats and this guy on a motorized mechanical horse.  The basset hound reminded me of my Grandparents old dog Mandy Sue.
And the following are just cute pics of my cute kids!
What happens when you let these two get too bored around here, hehe
Is she not just the cutest little thing you've ever seen??
Reminds me of Cindy Lou Who with her cute little morning hair
And finally, I'm all for free activities with them, and they love art things, so we went to a kids art day about water up at the Utah Arts Museum up at the U.  They got to make water wheels, kind of cool.
And also made H2O necklaces with their choice of color of bead, and Aunt Stephy, you'd be proud, 2 of the 3 chose red  :)
